COGNOS ANNOUNCES POWERHOUSE FOR THE AS/400

Toronto, Ontario-based Cognos Inc has announced a version of its PowerHouse proprietary language for IBM Corp’s AS/400, saying the new version offers a 100% performance increase in transaction processing and offers enhanced integration with the OS/400 operating system and database; the new version is from $8,000 to $132,500 and will be out in November; it also says that PowerHouse and PowerHouse StarBase relational database system are now available for the IBM RS/6000 too.
