Cognizant to acquire six C1 Group companies

The agreement includes the local business environment and professionals hired by the companies operate for the company

Cognizant has announced the details of agreement to acquire six companies of the C1 Group, an independent consulting and IT services firm based in Hamburg, Germany.

The companies belong to segments including manufacturing and logistics, energy and utilities, and financial services in enterprise application services and high-end testing services.

The agreement includes the local business environment and professionals hired by the companies operate for the company.

The company plans increase its local presence in Germany and Switzerland and increase consulting capabilities and enrich enterprise solutions expertise.

Cognizant chief executive officer Francisco D’Souza said: "This strategic acquisition underscores our commitment to the German and the larger European markets, and reinforces our position as one of the top consulting and IT services companies across the region."
