Leeds-based accountancy software house Coda Ltd saw pre-tax profit up 98% to UKP760,000 on turnover up 84% to UKP4.1m: the growth is fuelled by the company’s IAS accountancy package which runs on HP3000s, DEC VAXs and AS/400s; chairman Rod Potts says the UK VAX revenues are particularly buoyant, showing a 93% increase to UKP2.7m over the year – a piece of information which should inspire Headland Group, should it ever ship the Miracle accountancy software for VAXs which is causing it so many problems (CI No 1,437).
