Leeds, UK-based financial software house Coda Group Plc is forming partnerships in vertical markets to increase sales of its Open Accounting System. Coda has struck a non-exclusive partnership deal with Strategic Systems International, the manufacturing software arm of Powell Duffryn Group, to integrate its Open Accounting System with Strategic’s Tropos manufacturing system. Both companies say that they have achieved systems integration at the database level via SQL compliance and at the desktop by what you see is what you expect, ie surprise, surprise Native Microsoft Windows with support for TCP/IP Winsoc. Tropos also supports dynamic data exchange, object linking and embedding and conforms to Microsoft Corp’s application programming interface. Coda sees its alliance with Strategic Systems as the first of a series of business partnerships and is looking to form partnerships with suppliers of retail, shipping and financial services software in order to move its Open Accounting System into further vertical markets.
