As part of the alliance, TriZetto has enhanced its ClaimsExchange platform to allow clients to electronically transmit medical bills to Coalition America (CAI) for repricing. These bills are then returned electronically to the client for auto-adjudication.
The companies say that users of the service can choose from a pre-adjudication option, which is available now, or a post-adjudication option, which is expected in mid-summer.
Employers continue to demand that their claims administrators provide greater value and identify new ways to reduce medical costs, said Dave Pinkert, vice president of Product Management for TriZetto. This alliance with Coalition America can help benefit administrators and employers achieve these goals.
