C/NET FINDS WAYS TO SEARCH THE INTERNET

The folks at c/net: The Computer Network came up with the bright idea of searching the Internet to find out how many ways there are to search the Internet. And the San Francisco company has now turned its findings into a product of its own, setting up a free Web site at https://www.search.com, which combines the talents of the roughly 250 different search engines it found in the Web’s nooks and crannies. C:NET is hoping to fund for the site with advertising revenue. It runs on a trio of Sun Microsystems Inc Sparcserver-20s servers and Netscape Communications Corp’s Communications Server,
