CNCP TELECOMMUNICATIONS’ BUSEINESS SLUMPS

CNCP Telecommunications Inc, jointly owned by Canada’s two railroads, Canadian Pacific and Canadian National, has had its telex business trampled upon by the soaraway migration to facsimile: the Toronto-based company says that business has slumped so much that it will have to fire 384 people, or 11% of its total workforce; the reductions are being made all over Canada.
