CMS ADDS NEW VERSIONS OF ITS SCSI CONTROLLER

By CBR Staff Writer

CMS Enhancements Inc has added two versions of its new intelligent SCSI controller, the CS60A1-16, which configures SCSI drives to look to the machine like standard AT drives, requiring no additional software or drivers: the CS60A1-16 has a built-in 16MHz microprocessor that supports six SCSI devices, including hard, removable write-once and CD-ROM optical drives; support is available for up to 1Gb capacity drives and the SCSI bus provides up to 1.25M-bytes per second asynchronous data transfer rate; the CS62A1-16 adds support for two floppy drives of any capacity; the CS60A1-16 is $230 and the CS62A1-16 is $240, both from July.
