Internet venture fund, CMGI, said last week that it would set up a consulting unit within one month to garner increased sales for its stable of internet holdings. David Andonian, CMGI’s president of corporate development said the unit was a response to corporate customers of one of CMGI’s companies asking about services offered by other CMGI holdings. Andover, Massachusetts- based CMGI’ s portfolio spans online advertising firms to internet search engine, Alta Vista. Antonian said the new spin- off would do everything from consulting to web design.
