CMG Plc, the Anglo-Dutch systems integration and software company, has acquired CMS Data Consult GmbH, the private Mannheim, Germany-based SAP consultancy company, for 3.3m pounds in cash. CMS, which has 25 employees and a focus on the automotive and utilities sectors, will bring to CMG experienced personnel and additional customers, according to Tom Rusting, CMG’s CEO. Acquisitions currently only fuel 4% of CMG’s 40+% growth and Rusting said that this organic growth strategy is unlikely to change. CMS will be integrated into CMG’s existing SAP business, which has 45 employees, and is expected to contribute to its 1999 earnings before goodwill amortization. Germany sales were 15.2m pounds out of total revenues of 194m pounds in the last six months.
