CLR PAYS $2.5M FOR RENTER INDEX ASSETS

The Rent Roll unit of Carrollton, Texas tax and accounting software firm Computer Language Research Inc has bought most of of the assets of Renter Index Inc, paying about $2.5m in cash for Renter Index’s non-cash assets and entered into employment and non-compete agreements with the sole selling shareholder and an additional key employee. Renter Index is a private company offering applicant screening and other information services to multi-family property management and development companies in Texas
