CLR BUYS OMEGA TAX SYSTEMS BUSINESS FROM PRICE WATERHOUSE

By CBR Staff Writer

Computer Language Research Inc has acquired the assets of Price Waterhouse LLP’s Omega Tax Systems business for an undisclosed amount of cash and the assumption of deferred payment obligations. Omega, which licenses tax return software to financial institutions, will be added to CLR’s Fast-Tax bank business group. The deal marks the fifth acquisition by CLR since March of 1996 and the first since its purchase of Castle Lake Software last October (CI No 3,026).
