Patform as a service (PaaS) vendor cloudControl has partnered with Cloudant, a Massachusetts-based enterprise software company to provide web and mobile application developers Cloud database which will enable them to store, analyse and distribute application data across a global network of secure, high-performance data centres.
Under the partnership, cloudControl will enable its customers to make use of advanced database technologies optimised for web and mobile applications.
The company said cloud database service will enrich cloudControl applications with big data scalability, full-text search, and mobile data replication and sync.
cloudControl’s PHP Platform as a Service application will help developers focus on developing web applications.
cloudControl developers access Cloudant from PHP and other languages via an Apache CouchDB-compatible JSON API to enhance their applications.
The two companies work together to offer global data distribution across a network of data centres for nonstop, low-latency data access.
They also offer data replication, synchronisation, full-text search and advanced analytics using built-in, incremental MapReduce.
