Yellowfin has launched a business intelligence (BI) offering that will be available for free on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace.

Yellowfin on Azure claimed to help businesses deploy an enterprise-grade BI environment in just a few clicks, enabling organisations to start analysing the data they hold straight away and create insights.

Yellowfin on Azure customers pay the usual Azure usage fees but can take advantage of a free 12-month three-user subscription license for Yellowfin.

After the trial period, the subscription will be offered under a paid plan.

Yellowfin director of product marketing John Ryan said together, Azure and Yellowfin provided a security-enhanced and scalable environment for software companies and consultancies looking to create managed Software as a Service (SaaS) BI solutions for multiple clients.

"Yellowfin and Azure offer an ideal environment for BI software resellers and consultancies to take advantage of growing cloud adoption in the BI industry, and provide fully-managed hosted Yellowfin environments for their clients on the Azure Marketplace."

Microsoft Azure senior director of product marketing Nicole Herskowitz said: "More and more companies are dealing with large, complex data issues and are in need of BI solutions.

"We are delighted that Yellowfin’s BI platform is now available in the Azure Marketplace."
