Splunk has introduced a new IT monitoring and analytics solution to offer new levels of visibility into the health and key performance indicators of IT services.
The Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) solution provides a central, unified view of critical IT services for data-driven monitoring and maps critical services with key performance indicators.
It uses advanced analytics powered by machine learning to focus anomalies, identify root cause and areas of impact.
Built on the Splunk platform, Splunk ITSI will collect and index terabytes of real-time and historical events and metrics, throughout multi-datacentre and cloud-based platforms.
Several Splunk customers have implemented the solution in production environments and experienced better insight into their IT services, less downtime and disruption, and enhanced service levels.
Splunk senior vice president of IT markets Rick Fitz said: "With Splunk ITSI, we wanted to build on how customers were already using the Splunk platform for IT troubleshooting and monitoring and deliver a complete solution for IT professionals.
"IT teams now have an innovative data-driven approach to more effectively manage the new world of hybrid, cloud and software-defined everything in the data centre.
"Splunk ITSI is in a class of its own because it provides both high-level monitoring and deep-dive troubleshooting and analytics in one solution, available as either software or a cloud service."
Earlier this year, Splunk allowed customers of any size to purchase unlimited licenses of Splunk Enterprise.
Splunk software and cloud services are being used in over 10,000 customers in more than 100 countries.
