Dutch enterprise application maker Mendix has entered into a partnership with enterprise Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider Pivotal to launch a platform that will makes it easier to create, deploy and manage applications.
The companies are aiming to speed up the development and delivery process of cloud-native applications.
Mendix will offer point-and-click development capabilities to developers to make the application development process up to six times faster than traditional programming methods.
Using Pivotal Cloud Foundry, enterprises will be able to deploy the new applications to achieve secure, highly available and scalable operations.
The process will enable business and IT teams to collaborate to ensure fast time to market and to continuously innovate to meet the requirements of digital enterprises.

The companies also announced three technologies to provide seamless End-to-End Application Delivery Lifecycle, which includes an opensource Mendix Cloud Foundry buildpack, which is capable of turning Mendix apps into Cloud Foundry Droplets.
The companies are also providing one-click deployment of Mendix apps to Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), PCF on AWS or Pivotal Web Services.
Using Mendix marketplace, users will also get Access to pre-built application components that will help the developers to accelerate the app development process.
