InsideSales builds Amazon-style Predictive Cloud for business

Company has opened up its predictive analytics engine to be used by outside app developers for the first time.

By James Nunns

Predictive app building is coming to the cloud with the Predictive Cloud from InsideSales.com.

The platform is designed for businesses to be able to build predictive applications that will hopefully drive business results.

The company expects the technology to be put to use in a Predictive-as-a-Platform, as-a-Service and for sales acceleration apps.

As a PaaP the company says that independent software vendors will be able to use the Predictive Cloud’s Open API to tap into it and add predictive functionality into their own apps. This is the first time that the company has opened up its predictive analytics engine to be used by outside app developers.

The Predictive-as-a-Service offering isn’t unique in the market with companies such as Blue Yonder offering similar solutions, but it will allow companies to leverage its Predictive Cloud to scale revenue and to improve internal processes and operations.

Dave Elkington, CEO, InsideSales.com, said: "We are building an Amazon-style recommendation engine for business — a system capable of intelligently analysing billions of data points in real-time and recommending the optimal next steps for almost any application or business process.

"This lays the groundwork for a future where predictive technology can be applied not just to sales organisations, but also to government, healthcare, retail and beyond."
