Dell EMC reveals hyper-converged solution to simplify hybrid cloud adoption

The new hyper-converged solution is aimed at providing enterprises with a simplified route to hybrid cloud adoption.

Dell EMC has revealed that its turnkey hybrid cloud platform, Dell EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud (EHC) will be made available on its hyper-converged infrastructure offering, Dell EMC VxRail Appliances.

The release of the company’s EHC platform on VxRail Appliances gives organisations the opportunity to follow a process which enables them to start small and grow as their demand for hybrid cloud services expand.

Dell EMC launched VxRail Appliances in 2016 and says that it has since sold over 8,000 nodes, which exceed 65 petabytes of storage and 100,000 cores, to more than 1,000 customers across 78 countries.

The company said that by providing customers with EHC on VxRail Appliances it will meet customer demands for an HCI-based turnkey hybrid cloud solution which is optimised for deployments ranging from 200 to 1000 virtual machines.

The new platform offered by Dell EMC is said to be optimised for smaller deployments. It provides a cost-effective, smaller footprint and also includes automated installations of the Enterprise Hybrid-Cloud software stack to reduce the time spent on deployment, costs and risk levels.
