CTERA lands big deal in finance sector

One of the world’s largest enterprise file sync and share deployments to date.

By CBR Staff Writer

Cloud storage services platform CTERA has been selected by a Fortune 100 financial services firm to provide Enterprise File Sync and Share (EFSS) licenses.

CTERA said that the solution will be hosted from the customer’s private cloud data centre and will have low data centre total cost of ownership (TCO) due to the usage of next generation object storage.

The EFSS will also be integrated to the customer’s enterprise mobility management (EMM) and data loss prevention (DLP) tools in order to serve as low cost and comprehensive file storage and sharing solution.

According to CTERA, EFSS provides enterprise-grade alternative to consumer cloud applications by using private cloud infrastructure.

Its file sync and share solution can be used as file syndication, FTP alternative and large file transfer, and as shared team workspace.
