Manchester City will use enterprise software for everything from player management to analysing social media sentiment.

In what could be a boon for fan power social media data on players and managers will be tracked and analysed.

In a parnership with software supplier SAP the owners of Manchester City Football Club, City Football Group will implement a number of cloud-based solutions to run the entire business from the SAP HANA platform.

Applications will include talent management, aka football player management and predictive analytics will be applied to ticketing and merchandising.

City Football Group, which is wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi United Group, will deploy SuccessFactors, the SAP Jam social software platform and the company’s Simple Finance solution.

BusinessObjects and Predictive Analytics are being implemented to analyse and simulate all data from ticketing and merchandising to aid decision making across the organisation.

Both City and Sap two will work together to co-innovate for future versions of the SAP Sports One Solution, which is the first sports-specific cloud solution is powered by the HANA platform. It is a unified platform to manage individual teams and to analyse and contextualise data from different sources.
