CBR round-up: 4 major tech conferences this week

List: Intel, Veeam, Oracle and IBM host their partners and customers.

1. Intel Security FOCUS 15

A strategy shift, new McAfee security platforms, an updated webgateway and new standards support were key take-aways from the conference in Las Vegas.

2. VeeamON

Veeam used the conference to set out its strategy for 2016, with a stronger focus on the enterprise, cloud and partners ecosystem.

3. Oracle OpenWorld 2015

Oracle used its flagship conference to show off its plans to take on AWS, including virtualisation services, supply chain management solutions and fusion middleware launches.

4. IBM Insight

Big news from IBM’s Las Vegas conference included the buy-out of the Weather Company for $2 billion and new cognitive computing releases.
