The cloud giant plans to push IoT, DevOps and cloud migration through the AWS Partner Network competencies, aiming to provide support to partners that have expertise in three sections.

The APN Migration Competency will launch in the next few months and requires partners to have expertise in helping customers migrate both applications and whole data centres to AWS.

The partners will offer technologies and services for infrastructure and application delivery as well as data migration, synchronisation and other areas.

The APN IoT Competency is expected to launch in the same time frame, and will include partners that provide IoT platforms, analytics, connectivity infrastructure and developer tools as well as other services.

The benefits to these partners that qualify will be marketing, business and technical, said AWS. It will also include preferred access to AWS private betas.

The DevOps Competency is the only one to launch today and includes 27 qualified partners that will offer software services. Included in this is Chef, GitHub, Cloudbees and others.

In a further reach out to its partners, AWS has named 46 companies as Premier Consulting Partners. This includes the likes of Accenture, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Capgemini.

To round off the current partner developments, the collaboration between AWS and Rackspace has been confirmed.

Rackspace will offer tools, expertise and application management to the AWS cloud, with fanatical support in beta offerings.

This includes Managed Security for AWS, Compliance assistance and Managed cloud for Adobe Experience Manager.
