Amazon and Rackspace partner on cloud migration

News: Follows summer deal for Microsoft Azure.

Rackspace is working with Amazon Web Services to shift corporates onto AWS.

The partnership is expected to be officially announced at the AWS re:Invent conference next week. It mirrors a similar deal that Rackspace announced with Microsoft’s Azure cloud.

The deal with Microsoft, which was announced in July, saw the company agree to work with customers in order to incorporate Azure technologies and to provide managed services.

Aimed at allow customers to focus on their core business by offloading the management of their cloud environments reports WSJ of the major agreement for both Rackspace and AWS.

Neither company has commented.
