Accenture is building a cloud platform for Fast Retailing to accelerate digital innovation in its customer services.

The expanded relationship, which may be formalised in a joint venture, will see the two collaborate to deliver more personalised customer experiences across Fast Retailing’s retail channels.

Accenture will help build a new digital business model that will integrate data analytics and digitise operations in product development as well as improve other areas.

To foster this, Accenture will help to build a cloud-based platform which includes supply chain and CRM tools’, the company’s Digital arm will provide the digital commerce, mobility and analytics capabilities.

Accenture will also provide training, recruitment assistance and an advisory panel will be established between the two.

Gianfranco Casati, group chief executive, Growth Markets, Accenture, said: "Today’s retail customers are a formidable force with shifting expectations, demanding a seamless experience – whether in stores or online – that is on their terms."

"Leading retailers know that digital is the key to creating the seamless experience customers want, and we will work with Fast Retailing to ensure they are making smart investment choices to create new value while ensuring efficient and effective operations across their entire organization."
