Cloud hosting firm BlueLock appoints new CEO

Current CEO John Qualls to assume the role of SVP of business development

By CBR Staff Writer

Cloud hosting and managed IT services provider BlueLock has appointed Christopher Clapp as the new chief executive officer.

Clapp joined BlueLock’s board of directors in January 2010 and in March 2010, he stepped in to serve as interim vice president of operations.

Previously, Clapp served as president and CEO of ANGEL Learning until the sale of the business to Blackboard, and prior to this, he served as vice president of marketing of Made2Manage Systems and CEO of a wholly-owned e-business subsidiary of the company.

In addition to the appointment of Clapp, John Qualls, co-founder and currently CEO of the company, has been named as the new senior vice president of business development.

BlueLock board of directors chairman Mark Hill said that having worked closely with Christopher at ANGEL and now at BlueLock over the past six months, he brings an approach and experience base to the company.
