Management and computer consultancy MCP AG is pushing into the client-server business with the acquisition of long-time companion Systems Applications Methodologies Dataverarbeitung GmbH: MCP, traditionally strong in enterprise networking, will take advantage of Systems Applications’ departmental focus and will use the latter’s Boss-Office office automation software running in the Mac environment to explore client-server opportunities; the system is being converted for Windows NT although testing procedures will delay this until next year; other benefits include a Systems Applications development centre enabling MCP to write programs based on conceptual consultancy techniques, and Systems Applications’ links into mainframe environments.
