The facilities management business is currently associated with mainframes and wide area networks. However a new report from Forrester Research suggests that this will change, with more users choosing to outsource their client server operations. The finding builds on the company’s findings of the phenomenal costs of local network management: it sees the market reaching $6,000m by 1996, with the leaders being relative newcomers such as SHL Systemhouse Inc and Cambridge Technology Partners Inc.
