ClearOne, a provider of high performance audio conferencing services, has announced the CHAT 70, a new personal speakerphone designed for use with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.
The CHAT 70 is ClearOne’s newest audio product to be qualified as Optimized for Microsoft Office Communicator, following the CHAT 170 group conferencing speakerphone which was announced in January 2009, according to the company.
The company has said that the CHAT 70 personal speakerphone connects via USB to laptops or PCs for hands-free audio communication. The CHAT 70 delivers full-duplex capability for communications and provides high-quality audio for users of Office Communicator 2007. The CHAT 70 has a suggested retail price of $159.99 and will begin shipping before the end of March.
The CHAT 70 contains HDConference, ClearOne’s suite of high-performance audio technologies that encompasses full duplex, echo cancellation, noise reduction and adaptive modeling. The CHAT 70 also delivers completely plug-and-play operation, requiring no software or drivers to be installed, said ClearOne.
