CASS allows sales representatives to manage their appointment schedules with a wireless device such as a personal digital assistant. In doing so it allows reps to combat one of the greatest costs incurred by pharmaceutical sales organizations, field downtime and loss of productivity.
CASS enables the sales representative to confirm physician’s availability and schedule other appointments with nearby doctors if delays or cancellations occur. The mobile solution gives field sales representatives access to information in real-time that otherwise required hours of administrative effort.
Steve Bass, vice president of Aether Healthcare Solutions, explained ot the press that CASS utilizes a pharmaceutical company’s existing customer relationship management and email systems. The two systems are connected to the wireless device using Aether’s Intelligence Messaging system. Aether’s Intelligence Messaging routes messages from the customer relationship management and email systems to the sales representative’s wireless device.
