CLARIS CORP BEGINS SHIPPING THE MACWRITE II

The Claris Corp subsidiary of Apple Computer Inc has begun shipping the MacWrite II word processor, claiming it combines the accessibility of the original MacWrite with the performance and functions required for complex general purpose word processing; it features extensive file format compatibility with other word processors, such as Microsoft Word, T-Maker’s WriteNow and Microsoft Works and Write, Claris says; the thing costs $250 and 10 additional international versions are promised within six months.
