ControlGuard’s technology is designed to enable enterprises to comply with the new Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act by securing portable devices and removable media.
Clal said it selected ControlGuard’s solution due to its ability to support a large decentralized organization and to provide a highly manageable simple to use system. ControlGuard has been fully integrated with CA’s Unicenter control and command system, which is used to manage Clal Insurance IT network.
Today, thousands of workstations used at Clal Insurance and its subsidiaries are managed by the ControlGuard solution, which enables highly powerful and flexible management capabilities, said Hanoch Ben-David, CTO at Clal Insurance.
It allows system administrators to grant user permissions based on profiles determined at the organizational level. The project includes full integration of the ControlGuard product in the company’s CA Unicenter Enterprise Management System, extending the system’s capabilities to control and monitor endpoint I/O activities with status displayed at the Unicenter.
