CIVIL LIBERTIES GROUPS PROTEST BIG BROTHER ON THE NET

A host of civil liberties groups in the US are calling on more than 200,000 people to telephone members of the House Commerce Committee in a bid to stop the government from building big brother into the internet. They want the committee to reject proposals that would enable government agencies like the FBI to read encrypted messages sent over the net.
