CITRIX AND 3COM SIGN AGREEMENT TO ADD ICA TO EDGEWARE

Citrix Systems Inc and 3Com Corp have struck up a sales and marketing agreement to promote Citrix’s Winframe thin-client- server system software integrated in with the Total Control and Windows NT-based EdgeServer remote computing servers from 3Com’s US Robotics subsidiary. 3Com has joined the Citrix Business alliance program, while Citrix has joined 3Com’s EdgeWare Independent Software Vendor co-marketing program. The addition of Citrix’s ICA protocol to the EdgeServer product, which combines remote access software, firewalling, authentication and caching into a remote access server, will enable it to work across multiple vendor computing environments, the two companies said.
