Citicorp has handed out service contracts worth a total of $750m to Digital Equipment Corp and Electronic Data Systems Corp. DEC gets a $500m three-year contract to administer Citibank’s desktop and local area networking systems and software through out the world, providing personal computer hardware, software and networking support, on a monthly payment plan that allows Citicorp to make changes in the plan in order to take advantage of new technology. Electronic Data Systems gets a $250m contract for desktop and local network systems management services in support of Citi’s Project Enterprise global technology standardization effort.
