CISCO’s ASYNCHRONOUS MODE HYPERSWITCH DUE THIS MONTH

Menlo Park, California-based Cisco Systems Inc will start shipping its HyperSwitch A100 Asynchronous Transfer Mode switch this month. The company claims it will be the first on the market to support the ATM Forum’s Private Network Node Interface protocol for interoperability. The switch will be used with Cisco’s Asynchronous Mode Interface processor for routers, forming a key part of the CiscoFusion architecture.
