Cisco Systems Inc, San Jose has bought a stake in privately held Netsys Technologies Inc, Palo Alto, California and gets a seat on the board. Cisco paid an undisclosed sum for preferred shares in the company, and the transaction follows a deal under which Cisco will market the Netsys Connectivity Toolkit and use it internally for customer support. Netsys develops problem-solving, modelling and simulation software designed to help network managers to solve problems as they occur and simulate production networks using what-if scenarios.
