Those numbers might look good to you and me, but greedy investors were looking for even more, and shares in Cisco Systems Inc fell sharply Friday on disappointment with its quarterly earnings, and triggered a sell-off in other companies that provide multimedia networking products: Cisco’s shares plunged 18% of $5.25 to $23.75 in early trading on Friday, and Wellfleet Communications Inc fell $7 to $64.50, 3Com Corp was off $2.625 at $54, and Canadian Newbridge Networks Corp dipped $2.50 to $45.875.
