Cisco Systems Inc, Menlo Park, California says it is set to become the first local-wide area network interconnect company to deliver frame relay to its customers following an agreement with Campbell, California-based StrataCom Inc’s FastPacket that it will support StrataCom’s standard’s-based frame relay interface into its internetwork routers from the third quarter; frame relay is a high performance packet service designed to provide bandwidth on demand to devices connected to the digital wide area network, making it just the thing for linking local area nets.
