Menlo Park, California-based Cisco Systems Inc and Advanced Network & Services Inc have a a joint development relationship aimed at improving the effectiveness of current network technology through tighter integration of Cisco routers within the Advanced Network & Services national network: under the terms of the agreement, Cisco is to provide source code from its multiprotocol internetworking routers for use in projects among Cisco, Advanced Networks and partners, which include the US National Science Foundation’s Network Backbone.
