By CBR Staff Writer

Cisco Systems Inc and Hewlett-Packard Co are shipping a co- developed 10Base-T hub for small and medium businesses. The hub is based on HP’s AdvanceStack hub family and distributed via Cisco’s reseller channels as part of its LAN and NetBeyond families. The hub uses Cisco IOS technologies for increased security and integration, and it is available with 16 managed ports, managed by CiscoWorks Windows network-management software. It provides SNMP Simple Network Management Protocol, Telnet and out-of-band management console support.
