Cisco has launched new offerings in business collaboration and communication.
The new TelePresence offering allows users to record and share videos and content on the fly. It also facilitates users to search video to find the right clip, with a few clicks of a mouse, said the company.
Cisco said that all new enterprise collaboration endpoints will be video-enabled and to this affect the company has introduced: a new 47inch TelePresence endpoint, optimally designed for immersive communications in any office or small conference-room setting.
A new user interface for TelePresence endpoints combines the features of one-button-to-push technology and a touch-screen feature set.
Cisco said that its first line of Unified IP Phones have cameras built in to the devices to readily adopt and deploy video communications.
The TelePresence Content Server 5.0 enables users to have access to an end-to-end video recording and streaming offering.
Users can record a meeting in a TelePresence session in resolution (1080p at 30 frames per second), or 720p at 60 frames per second and immediately review, play back and share that recording with others through integration with Show and Share offering.
Cisco said that its MXE 3500 Media Experience Engine is a flexible network appliance that along with its MXE 5600 provides media transformation services to discover, connect, record, enrich and deliver video.
The new MXE 3500 features include: integration of Cisco Pulse; a new browser-based interface; and a new live-streaming capabilities for live-event support on Cisco Digital Signage offerings.
Further, the company said that the TelePresence System 1300 Series has a 47-inch LCD and can be wall-mounted or free-standing.
The endpoint will support the TelePresence Touch 12-inch, a new touch-screen interface that provides one button to push simplicity and sophisticated layout and sharing controls.
The company’s Unified IP Phones 8941 and 8945 provides video on all new enterprise endpoints, and have a built-in video camera for high-quality (VGA) video communications, and a 5-inch high-resolution display, allowing users to capture nonverbal communications that are missed on audio-only calls.
Cisco said that the phones are equipped with Bluetooth hands-free wireless capabilities, adding freedom and convenience, and supports headsets, including the Jawbone ICON for Cisco Bluetooth Headset.
