CIRRUS LOGIC ADOPTS LONDONER ARGONAUT’s PROGRAMMING INTERFACE

Cirrus Logic Inc, Fremont, California reckons that Argonaut Software Ltd here in London leads the field in the development of three-dimensional rendering and motion-video compression technologies for home entertainment, and it has licensed its three-dimensional application programming interface technology for incorporation into its graphics controllers. Privately-held Argonaut Software develops entertainment software for the leading games consoles. Within the Argonaut group, Multi Media Technologies Ltd is responsible for hardware development and created the RISC used in the Nintendo Co StarFox which has sold over 3m copies.
