Circle IT top of the class for education framework tender

The company is one of 21 firms to be selected for the ICT for Education framework.

By CBR Staff Writer

Circle IT has won a place in the UK Government’s ICT for Education framework, which is estimated to be worth £300m in four years.

The company, which is one of 21 firms to be selected for the framework, will have the opportunity to bid for projects that plan to buy IT equipment for education needs.

The framework, which is being led by Crown Commercial Service (CCS), selects companies that have the ability to support education establishments in their entire IT requirements.

Circle IT’s experience and expertise in the education sector as well as its partnerships with companies Dell and Microsoft played an important role in securing the contract.

The company’s contract will see opening and signing up of around 500 new schools and academies to the framework.

Circle IT director of education Dan Fearnley said: "Being part of this framework proves that we offer the same quality of service as some of the large IT providers who have occupied this market for decades.

"On top of that, our ability to be agile in the market, coupled with our depth of educational knowledge, provides schools with the flexibility and innovation they strive for, helping to create a superior learning experience for all."
