CipherTrust adds spam and virus filters with NAI

CipherTrust Inc said this week it has added anti-spam and anti-virus filters to its IronMail secured email appliance, under an OEM arrangement with Network Associates Inc.

The options will be added in a version of the device due for release next month. CipherTrust will also work on joint marketing activities with NAI’s McAfee Security division.

Atlanta-based CipherTrust makes hacker-resistant email firewalls that complement regular firewalls and protect the corporate email server from infiltration. Pricing for the new release will be per-seat, with a typical price of $9,750 for 1,000 users.
