CINCOM UK INTO APPLICATIONS

By CBR Staff Writer

Gearing up for the implementation of the poll-tax, Cincom UK has ann-ounced details of its new Community Charge System. The package was developed in conjunction with Tameside Borough Council and allows for phased implementation through separate registration and appeals; billing; accounting and recovery; and national business modules. Written in Cincom’s Mantis programming language, the package is designed to run on IBM, ICL, DEC and Honeywell Bull machines. The system will be available in the first quarter of 1989, and will cost between UKP70,000 and UKP150,000, hardware depending.
