Having teamed up with Aion Corp on artificial intelligence software (CI No 949) Cincom Systems Inc, holding a pig party with its customers this week back home in Cincinnati, Ohio, is now working with AT&T Co to make the latter’s rival to IBM’s NetView software compatible with Systems Network Architecture. Cincom will develop software to work with AT&T’s Unified Network Management Architecture to assist businesses in managing their voice and data networks, and the result will be jointly marketed by the two. Cincom’s own solution is the Net/Master automated management software for host computers that helps communications managers detect network problems, move information between host computers, and prevent unauthorised network access, and tieing it together with the AT&T product will give users end-to-end management of networks.
