Cincom’s Quote-to-Order Solution is an interactive selling system that automates complex, expert-dependent processes including: sales, pricing, quoting, design validation, and product configuration.

Xomox, a producer of industrial equipment used in chemical and petrochemical processing industries, said it would use the Cincom solution to support direct and indirect sales channels and focus on product configuration of its complex products.

It went onto say that the application would enable Xomox sales and channel partners to configure products at the point of sale and initiate downstream processes from order management to manufacturing, thereby reducing the entire order cycle.

Ken Noll, Cincom’s Quote-to-Order Practice Leader, explains, Like many manufacturers today, Xomox is looking at ways to become lean and improve process performance — not just internally, but with those systems and processes touching their customers and channel partners. By taking on a quote-to-order strategy, Xomox should not only see reduced order cycle times, but also reduced cost of sale, reduced rework, and improved quality, thanks to a more unified sales and engineering process.
