Municipally-owned Hull-based Kingston Communications Ltd’s CBIS-Kingston Ltd joint venture with Cincinnati Bell Inc has agreed in principle to acquire SCL Group Plc, an Edinburgh, Scotland software company specialising in network management, accounting and administration software and services for mobile telephone oper ators. The company is two years old and is doing about UKP4m a year. No-one is saying any more at this stage beyond the fact that negotia tions are now at an advanced stage and that completion of the deal is expected within the next 10 days.
