Israel-based Cimatron has unveiled new version 9.0 of CimatronE, integrated CAD/CAM software for toolmakers.

The new CimatronE 9.0 version includes tools to die designers, including capabilities for transfer die makers and additional automation for tool design. The CimatronE Electrode includes a new CMM application for defining measuring points and probe paths.

The company said that it has made productivity enhancements in tool design – NC for tooling and 5-Axis software – covering the range of quoting to delivery. Design and NC programming will reportedly take place in the same environment eliminating the requirement of data translation and preventing errors.

The company also said that Programming and machining times have been reduced with new NC for tooling capabilities.
