Ciber wins $13 million contract with Denver transport authority

Ciber Enterprise Solutions has won a three-year $13 million software and services contract with the Regional Transportation District (RTD) of Denver.

By CBR Staff Writer

Under the terms of the contract, Ciber will implement an enterprise resource planning (ERP) IT system to support RTD in managing its financial and human resources activities, including fleet management and maintenance.

Ciber will also integrate enterprise asset management (EAM) tools to manage fleet and rail vehicles, facilities, rail track, rail infrastructure, and signal assets with Oracle’s e-Business suite.

RTD said it was looking forward to streamlining its business practices by utilizing wireless PDA/handheld devices, shop floor touch-screens and barcode labels and scanners for inventory. It also said that the project would provide it with an efficient, automated way to monitor vehicle and facilities maintenance, as well as integrate multiple data sources to monitor system, employee, attendance, disciplinary, and budget performance.
